Urgency
I learned, a long time ago, about a particular saying from the continent I grew up on: “the times are urgent; let us slow down.”
I have been struck lately by how much activity is being generated in response to our current political climate and the horrific actions of the administration in power: protests, rallies, meet-ups, marches, organizing, organizing , organizing!
So, “what if the way we respond to the crisis is part of the crisis?”
An even more troubling question to ask is, “what if ‘crisis’ is the ‘wrong’ way to think about the challenges we face?”
There is so much to say about our current times: how we got here, where we’re heading, what to do about it… I don’t have answers. I do have a conviction that, as Einstein said, “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.”
How do we think differently? How do we shift our current paradigm? How do we work towards creating an alternative future, together?
I’ve been trained in Ontological Coaching to have precisely these types of transformational conversations. Let’s engage in a coaching conversation and touch the heart of what matters to you and what you do with that. Together.
I’ve also been called to host monthly co-creative spaces to share true stories to amplify and honor our common humanity. Join me for Solar Playback. Together.
Moving our bodies and mediating are some of the best ways to bring ourselves into balance, and to continually respond –rather than react– to the demands of our current world. Join me weekly for guided experiences at an affordable rate with Inspire Movement.
So many amazing communities already exist that are doing great work towards this new paradigm. Join with me in joining them. Let’s stand together and keep growing with care, turning ourselves to a new becoming:
This list is by no means complete, not even remotely! It is simply a sampling of the amazing collaborations happening in Maine and elsewhere. Reach out to me to share your cherished communities of care, and to share how you are caring for yourself in these times…
