"Small Acts" 4/28
April’s moon is sometimes called the Flower Moon, which led me to think of how small signs of spring can uplift us all. Also, the unfolding of the flower is a process that takes time. These thoughts led me to the next theme we’ll explore in Solar Playback: Small Acts.
If you are new to Solar Playback, you can learn more about what this offer is here.
Participants are free to join with an option to contribute money and/or feedback after the show. These online collaborative performances seek to honor the universal in our everyday stories by inviting audience members’ to share true stories that I immediately playback using improvisation.
Small Acts could refer to any number of the precious moments we share as humans:
Helping a stranger pick up spilled groceries
Serving a meal to the homeless
Listening to a friend
Any small act of kindness you can think of!
Small acts could also refer to “small” injustices that contribute to bigger tensions and conflicts:
Witnessing someone else being bullied
Cutting off someone in traffic
Ignoring a racist joke
Any number of “minor” offenses and the impact they’ve had on you as recipient, witness or perpetrator!
"A M A Z I N G"
"It was magical. I mean, the song, oh my gosh..."
"there's like an alchemy and seeing you there, turning [the story] into something else... wow"
"a rare and special experience"
