FAQ about Life Coaching
Q. How do i know if life coaching is right for me?
A. Coaching with me is a transformative experience that requires honesty, awareness and a willingness to put into practice new-to-me skills. Coaching is not therapy, though it can be very insightful and healing. It’s natural to have questions. That’s why I encourage you to schedule a discovery call with me where we can discuss your situation and answer your questions about the coaching process. There is no fee for this initial call. FAQ about Nia Classes
Q. Why is barefoot movement encouraged?
A. In Nia we believe in following the design of the body. We call this “The Body’s Way.” When we look at the body, our feet are intended to support us. It is only very recently, in evolutionary terms, that we began wearing shoes. Shoes actually put distance between the 7,000 nerve endings in each foot and the ground, making it more challenging to get a sense of what is a safe and stable move to make. Think about it like standing on your mattress. How supported do you feel while standing on your mattress? Well, your sneakers are a lot like a mattress when it comes to balance.
Q. what if i can’t make a zoom class live?
A. You’re in luck! I offer to send the recording link of Nia classes to you via email. Just email me to let me know what day(s) you’d like a recording and you will get it in your inbox, valid through the following day.
Q. Is Nia safe?
A. Yes, Nia is extremely safe in no small part thanks to the emphasis we place on listening to your body and choosing pleasure. Don’t take my word for it. Listen to this testimonial from a current student on Zoom.
