Healing the CORE
Join me this Friday, September 29th at 8:30am for a Nia 5 Stages class focused on the Core of the body: the pelvis, chest and head. The Nia 5 Stages is a distinct Nia practice that guides participants through 5 stages of movements from lying down to standing upright. These stages are:
Embryonic
Creeping
Crawling
Standing
Walking
Watch my Nia colleague in Toronto, Canada, demonstrate these 5 stages in this short video:
The magic of these simple movements is that they are already in us. We know how to move this way from developing as little humans. From birth we naturally move through these stages. Though some of us skip, or spend less time in, some stages, all of us benefit from moving through these stages as adults as they are movements that follow the design of the body.
When we study the body’s design and architecture we learn how to move according to the body’s way, the way we are built to move. This type of movement leads to health, full range of motion, flexibility, strength, stamina, balance, agility, and stability. All of which leads to …. a full life!
Join me Friday at our usual zoom link, or be in touch and I’ll email you the link to join us live. If you’d prefer to catch the recording, let me know that.
Through movement we find health. Through the Nia 5 Stages we rediscover the body’s way. Join me!
